According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester City could make a move for Paris Saint Germain's Edinson Cavani at the end of the season. The Uruguayan, who was signed by the French giants last summer for a club record fee of £54m, has been left disillusioned with life in Paris after being deployed on the left flank. Although Cavani's return of 14 goals from 25 games provides no evidence to suggest the South American is struggling at his new club, the striker would rather be played in his preferred position alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
In a recent interview with L'Equipe, Cavani threw his future in France into doubt by revealing he may leave the club if things don't change.
“We’ll see at the end of the season. We have to finish the season first,” he told French newspaper L’Equipe when asked about his future.
“I am in Paris, but there are certainly things we must talk about with the club, things should be done differently.”
The Daily Express report that both Manchester City and Manchester United have been put on red alert after Barcelona's deal to sign Alen Halilovic was put in doubt by yesterday's 14-month transfer ban. The 17-year-old Dinamo Zagreb player, dubbed as 'the new Lionel Messi', had agreed a deal with the Catalan giants last month, but the transfer ban is likely to rule out any such move.

Italian newspaper Tuttosport believe Napoli will make a move for 33-year-old Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis if the blues decide not to renew his contract at the end of the season. The Argentine has been the subject of heavy criticism from the British media this season after a string of uncertain performances for the blues, however, the defender's inclusion on Manchester City's shortlist for their March Player of the Month award credits his recent form.

In other news, Sergio Agüero believes Manchester City have the mentality to win the title race in the dying seconds again, if required. The Argentinian striker secured his side's famous win two years ago with a last gasp strike against Queen's Park Rangers on the last day of the season, and in a recent interview with FourFourTwo, Agüero claimed City's experience of last minute drama will only help them in their push for the title this season.

"It does [help City's mental readiness], but it's not just that game. The more you play, the more experienced you become," he said. "You must learn from your mistakes and not repeat them.
"Obviously no one expects to be level on points going into the last game of the season, but we know we have the mentality to repeat 2012."
