Tuesday's MCFC Transfer News

In an interview with DirecTV, Sergio Agüero dismissed fresh claims linking him with a move away from the club and insisted that he will be going nowhere until he has won the Champions League with Manchester City. The forward has struggled with injury this season, and despite shining for the blues earlier in the campaign, the Argentine has been forced to watch his teammates push for the Premier League title without him. However, the fan favourite has refused to let his persistent hamstring problems get him down and spoke of Manuel Pellegrini's influence on his decision to stay at the club.

"He says to me that I can't leave without winning a Champions League," Aguero told DirecTV. "That's the objective of each player in Europe."

The 25-year-old also added that he will not rush himself back into the team as he looks to keep himself fit for the World Cup this summer.

"With this recovery I am trying to do my best to be able to play again, but I cannot do it in a hurry.

"I do think to myself if something happens now, I will lose the rest of the Premier League season and the World Cup."

The Express report that Manchester City will stick with current goalkeeper Joe Hart after Barcelona stopper Victor Valdes was ruled out of action for seven months with a cruciate knee injury. Valdes confirmed that he would be leaving the Nou Camp on a free transfer last year with England one of his possible destinations.

In Other News
In other news, it's April Fool's Day, and it would be ludicrous of us not to expect a bit of banter from the UK's tabloids this morning. The Mirror directed their joke of the day at Manchester United and convinced fans that their 2014/2015 away strip would match the home colours of arch-rivals Manchester City. The inclusion of a video made the prank sickeningly believable for the red half of Manchester, but a sigh of relief will be breathed after the paper revealed there would be no such shirt hitting the megastores this summer.

And the Manchester City official website couldn't resist teasing their own fans with a special addition to their proposed stadium expansion this morning - a huge 'Moon Slide!' The slide would have provided the fans with an easier, more fun escape route from the Etihad Stadium on match day, and although many supporters will be disappointed that the accessory will not be accompanying the additional 6,000 seats, the majority of match-day attendees will be overjoyed.
