Friday's MCFC Transfer News

According to the Mirror, Manuel Pellegrini will face a backlash from his English stars this summer as James Milner, Micah Richards and Joleon Lescott become increasingly disillusioned at a lack of first team chances this season. The trio have featured just 31 times between them this campaign and the Chilean has often favoured his foreign stars in the 'big' games with the most notable case involving Lescott's withdrawal from the Capital One Cup final eleven.

Although Milner's place in the squad remains safe, Lescott, 31, is certain to be shown the exit doors at the end of the season and Richards, 25, has reportedly rejected a new five-year deal with the club.

The Daily Express report that Barcelona will consider allowing Dani Alves and Alex Song to leave the club at the end of the season. The pair have fallen out of favour under Gerardo Martino and with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all monitoring the situation closely, the Catalan side could be set to cash in on the couplet.
